Notes for Philemon RAND

Philemon is named as the father of Lazarus and Hannah Rand in
the pension application file of Lazarus Rand, Revolutionary War
Pension and Bounty Land Warrant Application Files, 1800-1900,
series M804, roll 1997.

In a sworn statement in the same pension file, Hannah Rand
states that she is the daughter of Philemon Rand and sister of
Lazarus Rand.

In a sworn statement in the same pension file, Lydia Cummings
states that Lazarus Rand served in the Revolutionary War and was
gone as long as his brothers James and Micah and also Thomas
Cummings.

Philemon and wife Sarah appear in list of members added to the
Scarborough Congregational Church on 4 Aug 1776, LDS film
0012228, item 1, Scarborough Congregational Church records, p.
10.

Lydia Rand, wife of John Lunt, is named as a sister of Lazarus
Rand in: History of Woodstock, ME, with family sketches, by
William B. Lapham, Stephen Berry Printer, Portland, ME, 1882, p.
238. Not known what record was the source of this statement.
