Maiden name, death date from pension application file of Lazarus
Rand, Revolutionary War Pension and Bounty Land Warrant
Application Files, 1800-1900, series M804, roll 1997.

This pension application was made after the death of both
Lazarus and Betsey. Apparently it was an attempt (unsuccessful)
to get Betsey's widows pension retroactively. At the date of the
application, 19 May 1854, the surviving children were: Eunice
Cox, William M. Rand and Christiana Hasey.

In the pension file is a statement by Lazarus's sister Hannah
Rand in which she lists Lazarus and Betsey's 10 children born in
the order named: James, Araiah, Sarah, Mary, Hannah, David,
Eunice, Christiana, William M., and Mercy.
